So I said I’d write a bit about some of the things I’ve found useful in parenting as a neurodivergent person - and maybe some of the things I realised I couldn’t do as a neurodivergent parent too. I thought I’d start with Marie Kondo.
I know that Marie Kondo sparked some hostility when she became popular back in 2010, because many people felt her ideas were unattainable - especially those with small children. Marie Kondo herself has spoken about relaxing her standards now that she also has children too. But for a while she was an absolute icon of mine and decluttering became a hyperfocus which I adored.
