I had this epiphany recently, the most ordinary of epiphanies but it was still enough to make me stop in my tracks. The last year or so has been around unmasking, figuring out my autistic self, what that part of me needs, becoming super aware of the ways that autism affects me and how to work with those needs rather than ignore them (or, as I think I’ve written about before, go in the complete opposite direction). We’ve done that within our home too. That’s all been great and shit in fairly equal measure.
